AgVenture Spangler to Celebrate 100 Year Anniversary at Field Day

JEFFERSON, WISCONSIN/KENTLAND, INDIANA (August 9, 2013) — Nearly 150 area farmers are expected to participate in AgVenture Spangler Seed’s Centennial Field Day to be held at the home office in Jefferson, Wisconsin on August 15th. This locally owned and independently operated regional seed company will be celebrating 100 years of progress in the seed business. Present to lead the festivities will be second and third generation Spangler family members, John Spangler, President of AgVenture Spangler Seed and Jeff Spangler, Vice President of the operation.

John Spangler said, “We are a family owned and operated business that for a century has contributed to the improved yields, profitability and progress of Wisconsin’s farm families. I am proud to share and celebrate this important milestone with our customers, without whom this would not be possible. We are committed to our customer’s success today and into the future.”

Jeff Spangler credits the company’s close relationships to their customers and knowledge of the Wisconsin growing environments to their longevity and success. “We put our knowledge of local soils, growing conditions and agronomic practices to work for our customers throughout the year and year after year. Our close association with our growers and knowledge of their fields allows us to provide a unique level of professional support to each operation.”

Festivities begin at 3pm for invited guests. AgVenture Spangler Director of Customer Relations, Matthew Eske said, “Our customers will participate in educational plot tours and updates from AgVenture Yield Specialists. In addition, the program will include a presentation from Dr. Tim Maloney from Agri-Tech Consulting, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Dr. Maloney will present an insightful presentation on the rapid changes the agriculture industry has faced and what the future may hold.”

A pig roast, music, entertainment and refreshments will be provided.
