KENTLAND, INDIANA (August 12, 2013) — Kentland, Indiana-based AgVenture D&M will celebrate AgVenture’s thirty year anniversary at their Field Day to be held August 23rd at the offices and warehouse located on the west edge of Kentland. The locally owned and independently operated regional seed company has grown from an innovative idea to an exceptional seed resource for farmers across northwest Indiana, central and southern Illinois, and Kentucky and Tennessee.
AgVenture D&M Owner, Mike Davis said, “It gives us great pleasure to celebrate this anniversary with our customers. Really, this landmark is about them. We are and remain committed to our customer’s success. We do that one field at a time, with close attention to the seed products selected for a specific growing environment. We support our customers in managing the crop throughout the growing season with the latest tools and techniques that help advance profitability on every acre.”
Davis brings unique perspective to the 30 year anniversary celebration. He was one of the original founders of AgVenture, Inc., also based in Kentland. Davis said, “It is an exciting point to look back at the early days when we came up with the concept – forming the nation’s largest network of independently owned and operated regional seed companies, and leading the charge by establishing AgVenture D&M as the flagship entity.”
Since the early days, AgVenture D&M has continued to grow. Davis attributes their success to commitment. “Our customers count on having access to the latest seed genetics and technologies that are selected specifically to perform locally. Better planning, high quality standards, and effective follow-through make advancements in yields possible. That’s our commitment. We’ll keep delivering on those tenets for the next thirty years and beyond. We look forward to celebrating together.”
The Field Day will feature plot tours north of the offices and warehouse located at 402 Wilson St., Kentland, Indiana. AgVenture Yield Specialists will share educational resources and plot information with participants. Jerry Hartsock of Cutting Edge Consulting and Research Services, Geneseo, Illinois will make a presentation to customers on the latest agronomic tools and techniques that are positively impacting yields across the region. A steak dinner will be provided.
