The Seed Source welcomes new Yield Specialist to the team

WAYNE, (Neb) (January 20, 2018) Wayne, Stanton and Cuming county area farmers have a new resource for premium quality AgVenture® brand seed products and year-round professional seed services and support. McKenna Frevert joins The Seed Source as an AgVenture Yield Specialist.

The Seed Source is committed to providing customers with locally selected and adapted hybrids and varieties, with the industry’s highest standards for seed quality.

“The Seed Source prides itself on understanding our customers’ operations better than anyone else,” said Seed Source owner Lowell Schardt. “McKenna’s previous experience working on her family farm, education and local ties will provide our customers the analysis of their fields and farming practices to develop a custom cropping plan which will help them reach their goals.”

Frevert gained agronomy experience working with Louis-Dreyfus Commodities in Norfolk, NE, and Producers Hybrids in Eastern Nebraska. Frevert is just finishing a degree in Animal Science with a Food Animal Production and Management option from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

“I’m thrilled to join a local company like The Seed Source,” said Frevert. “I'm very familiar with this AgVenture-affiliated company, which offers both the genetics and the seed quality which is critical to our customers. This is a big opportunity for growers in Northeast Nebraska in terms of genetic diversity where we have different environmental conditions.”

Frevert will work with farmers to help them implement the Maximum Profit System™ (MPS). MPS is a systems-based approach to increasing yields, while lowering a farmers’ cost-per-bushel investment and improving overall profitability. The comprehensive approach helps growers farm smarter using cutting-edge tools and techniques that go a long way toward raising a top crop, implementing the agronomic and economic decisions that maximize profitability.

Frevert grew up on a farm south of Wayne, Nebraska, and is the oldest of five children.
